Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS)
Many vehicles on the road today are equipped with Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS). This technology comes in various forms such as lane departure warning, automatic emergency braking, adaptive cruise control, and more.
You may ask, what does this system have to do with my windshield? The sensor devices involved in ADAS are often mounted behind the windshield, near the rear-view mirror. When a windshield is replaced, it requires the ADAS system to be re-calibrated so that they function properly.
